Shipping Firearms to DETROIT HOLSTER

DETROIT HOLSTER LLC is an FFL holder and is able to receive your firearm shipments directly from you likewise, we are able to ship directly back to you as well. There is no need for you to spend extra money paying your local gun shop to ship it to us, however, that is an option.

Make a copy of your current driver’s license or state ID:
– For STANDARD driver licenses/state IDs: Make a copy of both sides and include it in the shipment.
– For ENHANCED driver licenses/state IDs: Make a copy of the front only and include it in the shipment.

The address on your ID must be your primary residence and will be used as the return shipping address. If you have an enhanced ID and your primary address is not on it, include a copy of your change of address as well.

Packing your firearm:
Place the unloaded firearm in a case if possible and into a box with packing material to protect it during shipment. Include your Identification paperwork as described above and a copy of your order or email correspondence.

Shipping carriers:
Ship using FedEx, UPS, or look into ShipMyGun.com which is a service run by Bud’s Gun Shop. Much of the time they will cost less.

You may want to insure your shipment for the entire replacement cost as DETROIT HOLSTER is not responsible for lost or stolen shipments.

Once we have completed your engraving project we will ship your firearm back to the address on the identification via USPS Priority Mail. Be sure to advise if you would like to purchase shipping insurance for the return trip back to you.
